In preparation for your new lawn the following steps should be undertaken.

Ensure that all unwanted debris and other grass species are removed or have been eradicated with a non-selective herbicide (Round Up) apply according to manufacturers recommended application rate.

Lightly till or loosen the area to a depth of 75-100mm and apply a pre-plant fertiliser which contains N.P.K plus trace elements.

The fertiliser should be applied according to the manufacturers instructions. Apply these fertilisers evenly across the prepared area and incorporate into the top 25mm, lightly water the area to settle the surface and you’re ready to plant your new lawn.

Lay the turf in a brickwork pattern commencing along a straight edge then lightly water and roll to even out the surface.
